Native American History with a focus on Cherokee History, Culture, and Language

Graduated Magna Cum Laude From University of Oklahoma’s Department of History (Spring 2016); President’s Honor Roll; Recipient of the Hart England Award for academic achievement and leadership from the University of Oklahoma’s Department of History; undergraduate editor for the University of Oklahoma Historical Journal; undergraduate editor for the Journal of the Early American Republic

SELECTED RESEARCH AND CREATIVE ACTIVITY: 

Worked on a project, entitled “Learning Their Names” at the University of Oklahoma’s Western History Collection, which took old historical photos of Native Americans and put them into a data base for further research on peoples names and Tribal affiliation. This project will possibly become a university course soon in which students will be offered the course for credit and do the research into finding the identities of the people and Tribal backgrounds.
